We have relied on our military extensively over the recent past. Many have served and now many are coming home to reenter the civilian workplace. Over 1 million veterans in a five year period! That was the inspiration behind writing my book, Heroes Get Hired: How to Use Your Military Experience to Master the Interview.

Going back to work after being in the military can be daunting and a complete culture shock! Veterans re-entering the workforce or looking to change jobs were facing a set of challenges that needed an answer. The research that I did when I was writing the book was an eye-opening experience. Since then I have been doing my best to continue to contribute to veteran support wherever I can.
