Hi everyone! People often say negatively, “You’re living in the past.” I tend to be future-focused…also not always optimal. Personally, I am working on being more in the present day-to-day. However, I think a balance between the past, present, and future is ideal.
The past serves to remind you of your roots, and what contributed to the person you have become. The past can be a constant teacher if we use it to push us forward and not keep us back.
The present enables us to engage actively, be mindful, and most importantly, to appreciate and celebrate the good things happening all around us.
The future gives us something to strive for, it propels progress and is the hope of something to look forward to.
Although we may not want to dwell in the good or bad times of the past at length — aka, living in the past — there is no rule that says we can’t revisit on occasion.
