Are You Charming Them on the Interview?

Hi everyone!

I am back from vacation, the kids are home from camp, and August is upon us. People are starting to think about back to school and back to work. Actually, now seems to be the time of year when people are thinking about changing work.

The early fall season sees an increase in hiring as more of the hiring managers return from vacation. According to an article in Career Sidekick, September is one of the best times to look for a new job. So August is the right time to start honing those interview skills.

Jordan Harbinger, host of the #1 podcast The Art of Charm must have known since he timed my episode called Nail the Interview perfectly.

During the show, Jordan and I talk about how to prepare for a job interview, how to present your best self, and even how to follow up after the interview. It’s streamlined information to save you from wading through the overwhelming amount of advice on the market and to make sure you put your best foot forward to land your dream job!

I loved being a guest on The Art of Charm (again). Jordan asks the questions you wish you could and never lets me off easy. Get a pen and paper ready when you listen to our conversation!

THEN CLICK HERE to go to Jordan’s new show, The Jordan Harbinger Show, and listen to our interview on why relationships are our greatest assets.

While the initial idea of an interview that comes to mind is an in-person, face-to-face interview, that is not the only kind you should be prepared for. What about, for example, a Skype Interview? Don’t worry – I have given this a lot of thought and have some tried-and-true pointers for you. To read a blog I wrote entirely about this concept, CLICK HERE.

The challenge of an unconventional interview is so important to me that I actually wrote a section of my book, Nail the Interview, Land The Job about it.

Do you have an interview coming up? I would love to hear your feedback on the episode. And if I didn’t answer all your questions, just post a comment and ask away!
